Forming topography

Mountain (from The No Land) | vinyl stickers, plastic sheet, packing tape, laminated photocopy print, graphite on 245 sheets of bond paper, plastic book stand

'Pebble tile', a work presented in a past exhibition that tackles the theme of still life, is represented here as a book - as it contains, in its pages, a series of words, written in automation, pertaining to 'The No Land'. The content of the book was documented in the artist's journal before binding the pages using packaging tapes. In the present, the artist is yet to figure out the narrative of the content, as his own handwriting seems to scramble letters of words, suggesting varied readings. So far, the series of words written on the pages, forms a poem. Even in the act of covering the book is revealing.
